Nautilus

One of my favorite projects to date: an 18-ft Nautilus shell, fabricated with a welded aluminum structure and decorated with precisely cut stainless steel. This project was designed and brought to life by the amazing team at Sparks Design. I was lucky enough to be brought onto the project, just 4 weeks after breaking my T-12 vertebrae, as a fabricator and welder. Biggest of thanks to my mentors Islando and Noodles for not only their mentorship and trust, but for the bonds friendship and comradery we forged through these weeks. The Nautilus is on display in Portland, OR, every year for the Portland Winter Light Festival and the Portland Pride Festival.
